STA MO Girls DPL

Overview of Our Program

STA Mount Olive’s top girls teams will compete in the Development Player League (DPL).

The DPL continues to redefine excellence in youth soccer with its announcement of ongoing expansion efforts for the 2025/26 season. This growth brings exciting new opportunities for clubs across the United States to join the DPL’s innovative Emerging Talent Pathway, ensuring competitive soccer remains accessible and development-focused at every stage of a player’s journey.

The DPL’s Emerging Talent Pathway offers a comprehensive structure designed to support clubs, teams, and individual players in their pursuit of excellence. This three-tiered program ensures that clubs can find the right level of competition while receiving the resources and recognition they need to thrive.

Teams

STA Mount Olive is excited to join the DPL, a nationally recognized league that provides competitive opportunities for high-level female soccer players. The DPL’s mission is to develop the player and empower the person in a purposeful and memorable environment, offering a structured, standards-driven competition model that allows clubs and players to showcase their talent, gain exposure to collegiate opportunities, and build a strong soccer community.

Why STA MO Girls DPL?

With some of the area’s biggest clubs coming together, the level of competition, and higher visibility, the opportunity that DPL players receive is exceptional. The competition pathway consists of DPL Open, DPL, ASPIRE, and GA (Tier 1). Merit-based movement remains a core principle, ensuring that clubs are placed in the most appropriate tier while allowing room for advancement over time.
