In the opening game of the 2023 id2 National Selection International Tour, the id2 boys team earned a 3-0 victory against Leeds United’s U14 academy team. It was the first of four opponents the ’09 squad will face in England over seven days.

STA 2009B ECNL player Braulio Penaloza was named a starter for the game, and 2009B ECNL teammate Dylan Mazzarella scored a goal in the 54th minute to help lift the American squad to victory.

The id2 boys team will next play on April 6 against West Bromwich Albion FC.
