FC Motown STA opened up the 2026 USL2 campaign with a 6-0 win against Westchester Flames on Thursday, May 21st at Ranger Stadium at Drew University in Madison, NJ. Jude Essuman lead the squad with two goals on the night, while Gabriel Ruitenberg, Giacomo Zizza, Andrew Porucznik and Julien Lacher each tallied one goal apiece.

“As first games go, I’m obviously delighted with six goals and a clean sheet,” said Head Coach Tom Shields. “For me, probably the most pleasing thing was the implementation of some of the ideas we have spent working on the past week, and seeing how quickly the boys gelled.”
