WHO ARE WE?
STA is the preeminent soccer club in Northern New Jersey. Based in Morris County we provide an opportunity for the most talented and committed players from throughout the state, to play at the highest level of which they are capable.
Our teams compete at both the localized (in state) and regionalized levels of the EDP framework, regionally within US Club Soccer’s National Premier League (NPL) and nationally within the highest arm of US Youth Soccer, the National League (NL). Beyond this, teams regularly attend the most prestigious tournaments in the country (Disney, Dallas Cup, CASL, Jefferson Cup, Potomac, Bethesda) and as a result, our oldest players showcase themselves in front of hundreds of prospective College Coaches each year.
Teams also compete in both the USYS National Championship Series, and US Club Soccer New Jersey State Cups and in 2018, were the most successful teams in the state with the largest number of attendees to, and subsequent State Champions from, the respective tournament Finals Weekends.
Coached by the largest single venue complement of full-time professional staff in the state, all STA teams follow a developmentally appropriate, thematically oriented annual curriculum that drives their learning and development and supports our players in the attainment of the skills and understanding necessary to implement our Game Model.
Managed by our two Directors of Coaching, both of which hold USSF A-Youth Licenses, NCAA Division I Coaching Experience and experience working within some of the country’s best Talent Development Systems (US Soccer, NTC and US Club Soccer Id2) our STA staff is one of the finest and most well educated (UEFA, USSF, USC, KNVB & FA certifications) in the State.
The result of this commitment to best practice and quality competition, has been the graduation of over 100 players in the last 3 years alone, to play NCAA College Soccer. While not all have gone on to earn Athletic Scholarships, some have, and while not all have gone on to attain roster spots on Division I schools, again some have (including at schools in the country’s Power 5 conference). Either way, we have been incredibly proud of our players’ abilities to continue with both their athletic and academic journeys after life at STA and look forward to supporting hundreds more prospective student athletes (PSA’s) on their journeys in the years to come.
While the standards, commitment and approach to life necessary to be a success at STA is not for everyone, we would welcome those who believe they have the requisite Skills, Talent and Attitude to reach out and arrange an opportunity to be assessed by our professional staff.
